our local enuerator (interviewer) team

the enumerators are great. i was worried before i met them. they're all 2nd year MBA students, but they're my age. the indian school sequence is a little different from ours, and this puts them in grad school now. all but a few of the 16 of them are were born and raised here in hyderabad. the diversity in manner and personal really staggers me. some are a little shy; some are as loud as can be (jenna rightly described one as "always SPEAKING IN CAPS."); some are consciously hip and cosmopolitan; some are more and others less conservative or religious. even the shy enumerators are not afraid to ask questions and participate, if a little less often and a bit less imposingly. every single one of the female enumerators is beautiful. they wear saris every day, colored orange, black, blue, yellow, green, red, and white. bold colors like those look great on dark skin. although generally not as talkative as the guys (at least with me), the girls are still confident and engaged. there are 9 male and 7 female enumerators.
